Welcome to weekly hiking into telugu poetry wilderness

The articles listed below are written by Nasy (Narayanaswamy Sankagiri) about the telugu poets, singers introducing one of their best works (with english renditions). This is one of the weekly series i liked most at Sulekha website and could not resist to add a copy of it to my site (with due permission of Nasy).
In this collection of poems, each poem stands out in its unique style, the choice of subjects and the gentle words. Each poem is studded with words, powerful words and letters (aksharaalu) packed with meaning.... each poem chosen to reflect the poets best work, representatives of their poetic prowess and guardians for telugu poetic pride. Feel the poems by visualizing it, by the warmth of the words, like one of Billy Collins poems goes

Introduction to Poetry
-Billy Collins

I ask them to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide

or press an ear against its hive.

I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,

or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a light switch.

I want them to waterski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.

But all they want to do
is tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.

They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

But don't do the things mentioned in the last two stanzas :-) If you find some noteworthy poet or poems of new or already listed poets, please send them to me. I will be more than willing to add them to the site immediately. Each of the thursday telugu verse poems also will be posted here by me.
